Media Center News

The JIS K-8 Center School Book Fair will soon be here again. An amazing selection of books is headed our way!
At the Book Fair you will find the latest and finest titles for kids, as well as books of interest to parents.
Mark your calendar for two days of great books. And, you can contribute books to your child's classroom library.
The Book Fair is a great way to get everyone excited about reading.

Media Center Information

The main campus media center operates on an open, flexible schedule to provide maximum access to all students, staff members and parents. The media center is open from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.  Students in the Second-Sixth grades are permitted to come to the media center throughout the day individually or in small groups to complete class assignments, do research, or to check out books.  Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade visit the media center once a week as a class with their teacher to check out their book.    Students in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten may check out one book at a time.  Students in First Grade through Sixth Grade may check out two books at a time.  Books are checked out for one week and can be renewed for an additional week.  Students in the Seventh Grade will be visiting the MLC library with their Language Arts and/or Reading teacher.  All books and materials will be fined 5¢ per day when they are late.
